5 Quick and Easy and Cheap Cleaning Tips Using Household Items
Mattress: fill a spray bottle with vodka, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and spray over the entire surface of the mattress. Allow it to air dry completely; flip over and repeat. The alcohol will disinfect the mattress and the essential oil will leave it smelling fresh.
Ceiling fan: place an old pillow case over each blade and slide off. The pillow case will act as a dust catching pocket leaving the blades clean and the dust contained.
Greasy fingerprint marks on walls: cover the area with white chalk. Allow it to set for a few minutes and wipe the chalk away. The chalk will absorb the grease and leave the area clean. You can also use this technique on clothes.
Blender: fill it with hot water and a drop of dish soap. Run the blender for a few seconds and rinse. This will remove those stubborn bits and pieces from fruit smoothies that settle in those hard to clean cracks and crevices and save your fingers from getting too close to the blade.
Use a dryer sheet to clean baseboards, bookshelves, tabletops, laptop and television screens. The dryer sheet will not only pick up the dust but will leave behind the antistatic properties of the dryer sheet repelling dust in the future.

Great tips! I, especially like the dryer sheet for dusting tip. I don’t like using dryer sheets in the dryer, but this may is an excellent application to consider trying the next time I dust.
